Gaming to Grow

Young people are often criticized by society for struggling with hypersensitivity, fear of failure, and a general lack of resiliency, tenacity, and commitment. While these criticisms are fair, societal pressures can reinforce these issues. Many students never have the opportunity to develop important life skills, putting them at risk for more serious problems like depression, anxiety, and addiction.

At SAVE SOMEBUDDY, we recognize that young people need opportunities to practice life skills in a safe, low-risk environment. Because balance, tenacity, resilience and commitment are traits that have to be exercised to be learned, gaming can be a tool to help players develop.
